Hi my name is Dennis and I want to welcome you to my newsletter.
Let's get to know one another and learn internet marketing as a group. Ask questions, leave comments... I want every person to feel at home. The only dumb question is one that is never asked. We're all here to learn and keep up with the yearly advances. 2021 is just around the corner... let's make it our best year ever.

Dennis' Weekly Advice
This week I pulled something out of an old classic.... "Think And Grow Rich" ©1937 by Napoleon Hill
Desire for Riches - Napoleon lists six
Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire. It is not sufficient merely to say "I want plenty of money." Be definite as to the amount.
Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire. (There is no such reality as "something for nothing.")
Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire.
Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action.
Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.
Read your written statement aloud, twice daily, once just before retiring at night, and once after arising in the morning. AS YOU READ - SEE AND FEEL AND BELIEVE YOURSELF ALREADY IN POSSESSION OF THE MONEY.

Making A Great Video
Let's talk about what makes a good video.
The first thing is a good script. You need to have a good script to make sure that your video is watched all the way through. A good script will give you structure. It's going to give you instructions that you need to follow to ensure that you're getting the best out of the video. If you try and wing it, think about what you're going to say, you're going to struggle and you're going to fumble your words. Having a structure is important. That's how you get a good video.
So the second thing is be yourself. Don't try to be different from who you really are. A lot of people get on camera and put this persona on… they're trying to be somebody that they love. I think it's so important just to be true to yourself and be who you are. People will like you for who you are. We humans have this thing, almost like an indicator, where we know somebody is actually being fake. So the best thing you can do is just be yourself and people will relate to you because believe it or not, we are all relatable to each other in one way or another. People buy into your story and who you are. It's so important to be yourself when you're on camera.
How do you make a script?
You want a good script in your videos so you can deliver your message as efficiently and effectively as possible.
So, how do you script a video after you research your video. You have the title that you're going to use, then break your video down into four parts.
The hook
The intro
The body
The closing with calls to action
The Hook
The hook of the video is the part, when the video starts, where you say what the video is about. You want your hook to be as short and interesting as possible. Remember you only have five to 15 seconds to grab your viewers attention before they click off and watch someone else's video, so make sure that it's interesting. Say exactly what the video is about and make it sound as interesting as you can. This way the viewer says "I want to hear what this person has to say about xxxxx."
In other words the person is hooked. The purpose of the hook is to let people know why they should watch your video, why they should stick around and watch your video instead of clicking on one of the many related video options that they have in the sidebar. This is why your hook is so important. It lets them know why to watch your video and how it's going to help them.
The Intro
The intro is what your video's about and why they should stick around since you got them interested with the hook.
The intro is where you quickly say who you are, any other supportive details, branding statements, and outlines any other need to know information to the viewer.
As a side note, I want to mention that an intro is not required. Of course you can get right into the body of your content, but the intro is a great place for all of your branding elements and just a little bit of a lead from your hook to confirm and let people know that they're in the right place and that they're going to get the information that they're after.
The Body
The body of the video is where you share the bulk of your information.
It's the most important part of your video because it's the part that your viewer actually came to watch. It'll also help your user engagement if somewhere at the end of your intro or at the beginning of the body of your video, you add a call to action of some kind.
For example, you could ask a question and have them leave comments below. That will help increase your viewer engagement. Now what I did there is, I didn't just say, hey guys leave a comment. What I did is I ask a question... people are more likely to answer a question rather than just leave a comment.
Also you could tell them to stick around to the end of the video because you have a little tip for them.
The Closing With Calls To Action
At the end of all of your videos you want to include the closing and call to actions. A call to action is simply telling your viewers what you want them to do next. If you are marketing something or if there is a particular action that you want your viewer to take after they watch your video tell them what to do.
It's good to ask them to give your video a thumbs up and to subscribe to your channel.
Also ask for comments. Try to get any interaction you can.
Now of course the main thing is to ask them to click on any link under the video where you want to send them.
Make Sure To Tell Them What To Do
Well I barely touched the surface of all the topics we'll learn together. Any questions or comments please leave them. We are here to help each other. I'm your brother and want to welcome you to our family. As we build as a group I will run some surveys to find out where the majority want to learn.
Have a blessed day and see you next week, Dennis
